About Us

Elks Lodge building with parking and guests arriving.

At 800 E. Walnut Street, the Oglesby Elks Lodge has earned a 4.6-star reputation not by accident but by showing up, year after year, for the people and causes that matter most in this community. Members gather here to observe solemn rituals like the Flag Day ceremony, complete with the National Anthem, that remind everyone in the room why belonging to something larger than yourself still counts.

The lodge hall itself does double duty as one of the area's go-to event venues. Locals have hosted weddings, dinner parties, and fundraisers inside these walls, and the kitchen has a reputation that keeps people coming back. Catering by Jody Shan of Cub 55 has drawn real praise from guests who didn't expect a fraternal hall to deliver food worth talking about.

This is Oglesby's living room for civic life. Fundraisers cycle through regularly, drawing members and neighbors alike. If you're looking for a place where handshakes still mean something and community service is more habit than slogan, the door on East Walnut is the one to knock on.

What We Offer

The Oglesby Elks Lodge offers far more than a meeting room. The main event hall accommodates weddings, anniversary celebrations, corporate dinners, and private parties, with in-house catering that has earned genuine five-star feedback from guests.

Beyond private events, the lodge runs an active calendar of community fundraisers, civic ceremonies, and member programs tied to the national Elks mission of charity, justice, and patriotism. Flag Day observances, holiday gatherings, and youth initiatives keep the schedule full and the membership engaged.

Membership in the B.P.O. Elks opens access to a national network of over 800,000 members, scholarship opportunities, and veteran support programs, all grounded right here on East Walnut Street in Oglesby, Illinois.

"Me and several of my fellow lodge members participated in our yearly mandated flag day ceremony in our lodge meeting just before are mid-meeting and it went very very well!! It included national anthem, history of the flag and the pledge of allegiance with brief history about the pledges' origin...Splendid job to all who participated!! Hopefully we can hold it at the Illinois veterans' home again next year!!"

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
